Milkweed is the AMA charting debut album from Americana duo Howard & Skye.
Recent Arkansas River Valley transplants from Austin, Texas, Jonathan Howard and Blueflower Skye completed their eleven-track CD in the spring of 2016. Since its release in June of that year, Milkweed has enjoyed considerable airplay and welcoming reviews in Europe and North America, including charting on the AMA charts from October 2016 through February of 2017.
Howard & Skye's sound is a unique blend of several genres, but mostly resounds of blues, country and folk. Critics have made note of this diversity in their music and songwriting styles through comparisons to a spectrum of artists such as JJ Cale, Melanie, Townes van Zandt, David Olney, Dylan, Joan Baez, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Gordon Lightfoot.
